Problem: A client needed to automate one multi-step technical workflow: fetch data from APIs, analyse it, generate code, deploy the changes, and report the results. Each step used a different tool and a person to move it along. A single run took four hours of human attention.
Approach: We deployed a multi-agent orchestrator on the Hermes Agent framework. It decomposes a task, delegates each part to a specialist sub-agent with its own isolated context, executes code against live systems, and synthesises the results into one output for a person to review.
Technical details:
- Task decomposition engine with dependency resolution
- Specialist sub-agents with isolated toolchains and file systems
- Code generation and execution in sandboxed environments
- Result synthesis and diff-based change tracking
- Human approval at configurable decision points
Outcome: The same workflow now completes in 15 minutes of review time. The orchestrator runs the execution paths itself, and the team reviews decisions only.
Stack: Python, Hermes Agent, MCP, Docker
Sandboxed plugin ran for projects/ai-orchestration and read “AI Orchestration Platform” through the mediated API.
